NCas 2021 observations

Spectroscopic and photometric data were collected from 3 nights. 2021-03-21-23.
Provide the mid exposure UT.
The data were calibrated and aligned using MaximDL. The MSRO station 2 was used for the acquisition of the data.
Analytically, the equipment used was:
  • 10-inch f 7.9 TPO RC, MSRO Station 2
  • star analyzer 200 + grism
  • QHY 174MM

Spectral analysis

The data were imported into BASS and the whole spectroscopic analysis was performed with it.

We fitted the continuum on the first spectrum and applied the same correction to the rest spectra.

Then the spectral profiles were cropped between 350 and 800nm. This will give us a closer loot at the spectra.

Then we normalized the continuum such that the average flux equals 1. After this operation it can be noticed that the y-axis values have changed.  Also, we cropped slightly the x-axis again.

Now, we can measure, among other things, the equivalent widths of the spectral lines.
